The Donation Page Wizard allows you to easily create Donation Pages and Donation Forms hosted on the Salesforce platform. Donation Pages can be linked from a website to the Salesforce VisualForce page or incorporated within an iFrame within the website. Information entered on the Donation Page results in an Account, Contact and an Opportunity created in Salesforce, as the record of the donation.
Note: The Form is the specific fields you want to enter data into and be saved into Salesforce, and includes the Payment details, whereas the Donation Page is the overall look of the page which holds the form.

Donation Processing Options
There are 2 options for how donations can be processed by the Donation Page;
Option 1: Process the donation immediately on Submission.
Pros: Get Immediate response from Gateway as to whether the transaction was successful.
Cons: Uses Salesforce API calls, which may take a while to process, depending on traffic volume.
Option 2: Process donation overnight using ProntoPayments. You will have ProntoPayments installed if you are using ProntoGiving.
Pros: Overnight processing means the user doesn't have to wait after submitting the form.
Cons: You will find out the following day if there were any errors i.e payment failures.
Option 2 is the recommended option for better End User Experience.
