Q - Can a MailChimp email campaign be created from within Salesforce?
A - No, the MailChimp for Salesforce application does not support creating new MailChimp Campaigns from within Salesforce.

A - When a subscriber is deleted from a list in MailChimp, it doesn’t affect the profile of the associated contact or lead in Salesforce.

Q - What happens when a subscriber unsubscribes from a MailChimp list?
A - When a subscriber unsubscribes from a MailChimp list, their subscription status appears on the MailChimp Subscriptions page. To view the MailChimp Subscriptions page, navigate to the Contact or Lead Page, and click Manage Subscriptions in the MailChimp Subscriber section.
The Email Opt Out field on their Salesforce contact or lead page will not change.
Q - What are Saved or Pre-built Segments when picking a list to send an email?
A - An automatically generated segment based on list information or subscriber activity. Pre-built segments can only be found on the Recipients step of the Campaign Builder.
Q - When is my contact or lead information updated?
A - Contacts and leads are updated during data sync based on the date in the Profile Updated field for the associated subscriber profile in MailChimp. The contact or lead profile in Salesforce will display the information that was available during the last sync.
Q - When is my campaign activity updated?
A - As part of data sync, campaign activity is updated daily at midnight. Data sync passes over the 50 most recent instances of campaign activity, like sends, opens, and clicks, for each lead or contact added to a MailChimp list.

Q - Why can’t I add a new column on my email?
A - You need to check that template you have selected. If you have picked a 1 Column Basic template it only allows for 1 column within the email. For more columns you will need to change your template to a 2 or 3 column template.
Q - How to move content blocks?
A - At the top left side of every content block is an icon with 9 little dots. Click and drag that to move your content block within your email template.
Q - How to edit a content block?
A - Locate and click the pencil icon at the top right side hand of the content block. Then edit your content in the right side Edit panel.
Q - How to add a new content block?
A - To add a new content block simply click and drag your desired block (i.e. image with caption, divider, boxed text) and drop it into a blue Drop block here section of your email.
Q - How to delete a content block?
A - Locate and click the trash icon at the top right side hand of the content block. Click Delete.
Q - How to change the physical address or permissions reminder on the email footer?
A - Locate and click the pencil icon at the top right side hand of the footer content block. Click Edit Contact Info then simply type in the new permissions’ reminder and contact information such as the physical address or contact name.
Q - How to add attachments to an email campaign?
A - You can add attachments to your email layout using links and buttons.
- For links, highlight the text, click the link button, on the Link to dropdown menu select File. Upload your file from computer and click Insert.
- For buttons, click and drag button over to the email layout. On the right side Button panel edit the Button Text, on the link to dropdown menu select File. Upload your file from computer and click Insert. Click Save & Close.
Q - How to send a test email to myself or someone else?
A - At the Design stage select the Preview and Test button at the top of the page. Click on the drop down menu and select Send a Test Email. From there you can type the email address/s, a quick message and anyone whom you want to be notified of the feedback. When you’re ready click Send Test.
Q - How to preview an email campaign before sending?
A - At the Design stage select the Preview and Test button at the top of the page. Click on the dropdown menu and select Enter Preview Mode. From there you can see what your email will look like on a desktop, mobile and inbox (paid feature).
