You are planning to launch a major direct mail campaign and expect to receive thousands of pledge cards back over the next few weeks.
How will you get all of that data into Salesforce, and the payments processed in a timely way, when you are swimming in pledges?
ProntoGiving's Bulk Donation Entry will help simplify the process of creating Donations against your existing Contacts, by setting up Templates, and using a Barcode on your pledge forms to further reduce the time spent on data entry.
By assigning Contacts to a Campaign, which creates a Campaign member, and giving each Campaign member a unique ID that is printed as a Barcode, you can eliminate the need to type the campaign and contact details.
There is some set up required within Salesforce.
1. Create the Barcode Number Field
Setup>Campaign Member>new Formula field
2. Navigate to ProntoGiving Settings > Donation > Settings
Tick the Enable Barcode field and enter the field API name of the CampaignMemberID field you created above into the Barcode Number Field box
3. Create Bulk Donation Entry Template including the Barcode, Campaign and Contact fields.
4. When you generate your list of donors for the Mailing House to mail, include the CampaignMemberID which needs to be printed as a barcode.
When a barcode is scanned into the Barcode field, it will return the Campaign and Contact associated with the Campaign member ID.
This means no need to manually type the donor's ID/name and the linked Campaign, only the amount donated, and if applicable, the payment source details, saving you valuable time to do more productive things!
