In the latest release for ProntoPayment (version 2.0.10), there are new updated features that are helpful for Commercial clients. The update ensures that there will be no double charges for subscriptions. Most are similar to features we currently have for NPSP enabled clients.
1. Batch Job that checks for all Subscriptions where the "Next Payment Date" is today or earlier. It then changes the status to Authorised so payment can be processed.
ProntoPayment Settings > Scheduler > Batch Create Subscription PPayment
2. If an error or a problem (for whatever reason) is encountered, Subscription will be automatically locked. This way it will not run in the next schedule run. This helps in preventing double charges.
3. If there are no errors encountered, the Next Payment Date is updated automatically (based on the set Frequency) and Subscription will be unlocked via ASPP Logs found under the Subscription Related tab.
ASPP Logs show the whole process that the Subscription went through.
