FSC-Financial Planning has a useful function to help automate the creation of Households from a Person Account.
Whether you are importing lists of prospects from other systems or entering a manual FactFind, the majority of your time is usually spent on the Person Account. However you need to have a Household for the client group. FSCFP helps you save time by automating the creation of the household when a tickbox on the Person Account is checked, and can also automatically create Households for specified Record Types of Leads on conversion.
The Household will be related to the Person Account, using the Account-Contact relationship object, and
- ticked active,
- Primary Member,
- Primary Group,
- Role: Client,
- Rollups: All selected
The naming convention of the Household that is auto created will be the Lastname + "Household"
In the FSC-FP Settings tab, you can turn this feature on or off, and pick the lead records types that will auto create households on conversion.
You can also set defaults on fields on the Household when it is created. This is particularly helpful if you have any mandatory fields on the Household. You can choose the field on the Account from the picklist, and then enter the value on the right.
