As a supporter care officer, you have received a donation, and now that you have created an opportunity, you want to clarify who receive the receipt. The system will check for an email in the following order.
Here we have a sample opportunity called Test 101.
Indicating the Account Name and the Primary Contact.
First, it will check the Receipt Email field. If the field has a value, the receipt will be sent to that email otherwise, if the field is empty, it will check for the second option which is the Donation Type picklist.
If the value of the Donation Type is Individual.
It will check the Primary Contact - Receipt Recipient email. To locate the field, click the name of the Primary Contact.
Under the Details tab, look for Receipt Recipient field then click the name.
Find the Email of the Receipt Recipient.
Going back in the Primary Contact, If there is no Receipt Recipient - Contact found, it will check for the Primary Contact Email directly instead. Click the name of the Primary Contact.
The receipt will be sent to this email.
Third, if the Donation Type value is Organisation.
It will check the Account Name - receipt recipient email. To locate the field, click the name of the Account Name.
Under in the Details tab, look for Receipt Recipient field then click the name. Find the email of the Receipt Recipient.
Lastly, if none of these emails have an email specified, a receipt will not be sent.
