Before we start creating campaigns and performing selections, we need to do a bit of groundwork. The first item to consider is, are we raising funds for an existing cause and do we have a GAU already setup, or do we need to create a new GAU?
It’s perfectly fine to use the same GAU from campaign to campaign. In fact, some organisation use a GAU called something like Where it is most needed as the Primary GAU for almost all campaigns. If, on the other hand, your campaign is going to raise funds for a new area, you need to establish new GAU.
To create a new GAU, follow these steps.
Click the App Launcher icon and search for General Accounting Units.
Open the General Account Units app. You should see a list of existing GAU’s.
To create a new campaign, click the New button.
Fill in the required details including marking it as Active and save your new GAU.
