In some cases, you need to backdate a donation. For example, the end of financial year for taxation purposes is June 30. A supporter has walked in on the afternoon of June 30 and presented a cheque, but you did not get to process that transaction until the next morning. You may wish to backdate the transaction so that the supporter gets a tax receipt showing that the donation was made in the previous financial year.
In this case, locate the supporter’s contact or account record as per normal. Process the Quick Donation transaction as normal, and then change the Close Date value to the date with which you wish the transaction to be reflected.
After the normal banking and credit card processes have been completed and the receipt is generated, it will reflect the adjusted processing date.
