Once you have completed importing your data into the Staging Object (BDE Items), the Fundraising Accelerator will automatically process those entries and convert them into contacts and transactions. When and how this is done is controlled by the settings in the ProntoGiving App.
From the ProntoGiving App, select ProntoGiving settings and then select Settings in the Schedule Process section.
Towards the bottom of the settings page you will see an entry called Process BDE Items.
The first value against this entry is the number of records that will be processed at a time.
Note: This does not impact on the number of records you are importing, rather Salesforce needs to process only a small number of records at a time to ensure the efficient use of system resources. Only your system administrator should modify the setting.
The second entry shows the time of day at which the Process BDE Items job will start to execute. Normally, this is set for late in the evening when these processing jobs will not conflict with other actions that have been set up in your system, such as credit clearance and updating data.
In this example, you’ll see the system will start processing at 11 PM and will process 30 transactions at a time. Once it finishes the first 30 transactions it will automatically process the next 30. This will be repeated until no remaining BDE Staging Object records remain unprocessed.
If you have an urgent requirement to process BDE Staging Object records, then you can execute this process immediately by clicking on the Run Batch button.
Note: Executing a large processing batch during business hours or when other substantial processes are running on your org may cause issues. Please check with your system administrator before using this option.
If you wish to run the BDE Staging Object Processing at an alternate time you can click on the Schedule Batch button. The same rules apply for this as they do in using the Run Batch option.
