Your Salesforce org will already have a number of reports set up and ready for you to access. These reports may have come from a variety of sources including:
- Standard Salesforce or NPSP reports
- Reports provided as part of the Fundraising Accelerator
- Reports custom developed for your organisation by AlphaSys or other Salesforce consultants
- Reports developed by yourself or other team members
Let’s start by looking at how we access your reports.
Depending on which app you are in you will often have a Reports tab available right on your screen. To access Reports just click on this tab.
If there is no Reports tab in your current app, go to the App Manager and search for Reports.
Whichever way you open the Reports tab, it will look something like this.
Let’s have a look at the layout of this tab.
On the left you’ll see a menu that you can navigate to locate reports. In the Reports section, all reports across all folders are listed, but are grouped into various categories.
If you click on Recent, for example, you will see the reports you have accessed most recently.
Created by Me is a group of reports that you have created.
Private Reports are reports that are only available to yourself or limited number of users.
On the right-hand side of the screen you’ll see the reports included in each section. At any time, you can click on one of these reports to run it.
Take a few moments to explore some of the options available to you. For example, you can export the report data by selecting Export from the Edit menu.
